The constant amendments to the law have left most consumers unclear about the improvements and the respective timelines that they should expect to see from companies like Bella Tunno. For your benefit, we have created these FAQs, which we will continually update, to help you stay informed. What is the Consumer Product Safety Act? In response to the recent increase in reports of lead and toxins, as well as potential choking hazards of children’s’ toys, Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in August of 2008. The law requires extensive third-party testing requirements on all items produced for children less than 12 years of age for lead, phthalates and choking hazards. It also requires permanent labeling of each item with a date and batch number. We have tested our products, and they meets all requirements put forth by the CPSIA. We have taken the CPSIA’s new legal requirements very seriously and understand the impact this law has on both consumers and retailers. The following are our Certificates of Compliance:
When will companies need to comply with this new law? There are many different requirements for this law and therefore many different timelines. The CPSIA site provides a timetable, which you can view here: http://www.cpsc.gov/ABOUT/Cpsia/cpsia.HTML#timetable. Monogramming/ PersonalizationWe'll be glad to personalize your products with a name, a letter or a 3-letter monogram. You will have this option when you add a product to your shopping cart. Please allow an additional 7-10 business days for personalization.Return/ Exchange PolicyWe will be glad to make an exchange or send a merchandise credit if you are unsatisfied with a product. You must contact Bella Tunno within 10 days of purchase. Bella Tunno will not accept any return or exchange without a Return Authorization Number written on the return. The item must be in new, unused condition with original tags and packaging. Ship prepaid and insured back to us after getting a Return Authorization. Shipping and handling on returned merchandise is non-refundable. Please email customerservice@bellatunno.com for return or exchange information. Personalized products cannot be returned or exchanged.ShippingOrders will be shipped via USPS or UPS. We will ship your order 5-7 business days from the time it is received. If you requested personalization, we will require another 7-10 business days.Shipping RatesOur rates are flat fees based on total dollar amounts (for US shipments.)
